• Saw play time increase late in the 2019 season as an edge rusher. Posted first sack of career in the divisional round at Green Bay.
• Saw action in all 16 games primarily on special teams in 2018, including one start at linebacker in the season opener at Denver. Totaled seven special tackles (five solo).
COLLEGE: Two-year starter at outside linebacker. Played in 39 games with 26 starts. Recorded 175 tackles (105 solo), including 33.5 TFLs, 18.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed, 4 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries and 2 interceptions. As a senior in 2017, helped team to a 13-0 record and a Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl victory over Auburn and was selected Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Defensive MVP. Named American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference honors following his junior season (2016).
PERSONAL: Played at Lakewood (Fla.) HS, which advanced to the 2012 5A regional semifinals. Earned a spot on the 2012 class 5A all-state second team. Amassed 72 tackles with 12 break-ups and one sack in as a senior in 2012. Had 61 tackles, nine break-ups, two forced fumbles and one interception as a junior. Also ran track for Lakewood, competing in the 4x100, discus, triple jump and shot put, and received interest for track from LSU, Miami and Purdue. While in high school, received the United States Achievement Academy Student of Excellence Award, the Mr. LHS Award and the 2012 Mike June Courage Award. The mayor presented him with the On Top of Your Game Award as well as a key to the city. With twin brother Shaquill, started their own track club in St. Petersburg. Lost his left hand at the age of four due to a rare condition known as amniotic band syndrome. Parents are Terry and Tangie Griffin, and was born a minute after brother, Shaquill.
