COLLEGE: Five-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection, including first-team honors in 2020 and 2021. One of the first two five-time all-conference players in Sun Belt history (along with Coastal Carolina OL Trey Carter). Two-time team captain. Five-year starter at left guard who set school records with 60 games played and 59 starts, including 51 in a row. Started four bowl games, also a first in GSU history. Was a key figure in the top four rushing seasons in program history from 2018-21. Helped the Panthers average 223 yards rushing over his last three seasons, including a school-record 241.6 yards in 2019, and was also part of school records as GSU offense averaged 33.3 points per game in 2020 and 439.8 yards of total offense in 2019. Played in the Gridiron Classic all-star game following the 2021 season.
PERSONAL: First-team all-region (4-AAAAA) offensive lineman for Drew High School. All-Metro (Southside) by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and named to the All-Southern Crescent Buzz all-area first team. Chosen to play for Team Georgia in the Florida vs. Georgia Rivalry Game in Boynton Beach, Fla. Given name is Shamarious Da'Quion Bernard Gilmore but teammates call him Quion (pronounced kwon). Has 11 sisters and two brothers.
