Attended Venice High and was a two-time Florida 7A first-team all-state performer, and earned the Herald Tribune Player of the Year Award. Rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports, ESPN and Scout and rated the no. 9 defensive tackle in the state of Florida by Scout.
