NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Played in 14 total games and started the final 10 at left tackle as a rookie in 2016. Was inactive two contests. Started both 2016 playoff games at LT.
• Suffered 2017 season-ending knee injury in preseason opener at L.A. Chargers and was placed on injured reserve.
• Found a role in 2018 as an extra TE and helped lead the Seahawks to the NFL's top-ranked rushing attatck with 2,560 yards. Also notched first-career reception with a 9-yard reception versus Minnesota (12/10).
COLLEGE: Used his fifth year of eligibility at Western Kentucky to play football for the first time since eighth grade, after four years on the Hilltoppers basketball team. He played in 12 football games, recording one catch for seven yards and also had two assisted tackles along the defensive line in 2015. Fant ranked 13th in career scoring and eighth in career rebounding in Hilltoppers basketball history, and was a three-time All-Conference selection during his career. As a senior in 2014-15, Fant led the team in rebounding with 8.4 boards per game and averaged a career-best 13.8 points per game.
PERSONAL: Attended Warren Central High and started all four years on the basketball team. Helped the Dragons to back-to-back 4th Region titles in 2009-10 and 2010-11 and a Kentucky High School Athletic Association Sweet 16 appearance as a senior in 2010-11. Averaged 21.5 points and 11.7 rebounds per game as a senior. Left Warren Central having pulled down a school-record 1,039 rebounds and scored 1,805 points, which ranked third in school history. Cousin, Jim McDaniels, was a three-time All-American at Western Kentucky, helped lead the Hilltoppers to the 1971 Final Four and is the school's all-time leading scorer. Mother, Kim (Norman), also played basketball at Western Kentucky. Majored in recreation.
