02/16/22: Signed by Seattle as a FA
Thompson spent last season on Tampa Bay's practice squad, then signed to Kansas City's practice squad during the postseason. He spent his first two seasons (2019-20) in Kansas City where he appeared in 26 games for the Chiefs, rushing for 225 yards and two touchdowns on 64 carries, and also had 108 receiving yards and a touchdown on 16 receptions.
COLLEGE: After starting his college career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Thompson transferred to Utah State where he rushed for 1,044 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2018, earning second-team All-Mountain West honors.
PERSONAL: Thompson's uncle, David Thompson, was a tailback at Oklahoma State before spending three seasons with the St. Louis Rams from 1997-99. The elder Thompson saw action in 12 games for the Rams in that time, returning 49 kicks for 1,110 yards.
