NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Was named first-team All-Pro in 2016 after his first season with the Giants. Started all 16 regular-season games, plus the NFC Wild Card Game in Green Bay and led all NFL defensive tackles and finished third on the team with a then career-high 59 tackles and then career-best 2.5 sacks.
• Became the first defensive lineman in the NFL since 1930 to appear in 17 games in a single season when he played seven with Detroit before being traded to the N.Y. Giants and playing in 10 games in 2018.
• Led all defensive tackles with 81 total tackles in 2018.
• Came into the league as an undrafted rookie out of William Penn, signing with the Jets in 2012. He appeared in only five games as a rookie, but took over a starting job in 2013 and has started 111 of 112 games played over the past seven seasons, recording 485 tackles, 37 tackles for loss, 24 quarterback hits, 11 sacks, 10 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and one interception.
COLLEGE:Started all 44 games played at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Concluded his college career with 224 tackles, 6.0 sacks, four forced fumbles and four pass defenses. Posted 60 tackles, two forced fumbles and a career-best 3.0 sacks as a senior and 47 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and two pass defenses in 10 games his junior year.
PERSONAL:Majored in physical education at William Penn University and is one of just two William Penn alumni to play in the NFL. Played football for one season at Lake Charles (La.) Boston High School and was named the team's offensive and defensive MVP.
