COLLEGE: Was a mainstay on the two most prolific offensive teams in Wake Forest history. Helped the Demon Deacon offense set school records for total yards and scoring in 2017 and records for 500-yard total offense games and most 50-point scoring games in 2018. Started 47 career games including the final 22 contests.
RS Senior: Served as team captain in 2018. Rated the No. 48 player in the ACC by the ACC Sports Journal. Started all 13 games as a senior. Led all offensive linemen with 24 knockdown blocks. On the field for 1,066 snaps in 2018, the fifth-most on the team.
RS Junior: Named Third Team All-ACC. Third Team All-ACC by Phil Steele. Started 12 of 13 games as a redshirt junior and was on the field for 815 snaps. Blocked for Wake Forest’s record-setting offense that set school marks for total offense yards and points in a season.
RS Sophomore: Moved to guard during spring practice 2016. Started at right guard in all 13 games in 2016. Was one of just two offensive linemen to start all 13 games. On the field for 866 snaps, the third-most among offensive linemen.
RS Freshman: Started at RT in his first college football game. Started each of the first nine games at right tackle. Had 713 total offensive snaps in 2015.
Freshman: Redshirted after joining the team as a defensive lineman.
PERSONAL: Spent his first three seasons at North Raleigh Christian and his senior year at Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg. Earned his degree from Raleigh Enloe High. Primarily a basketball player, he was a late comer to football. Was a defensive end in high school. Son of Betty Capers. Born Oct. 19, 1995. Majored in communication.
