Selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, with the Chiefs trading up that year to select the Tennessee product with pick No. 198 overall. Played defensive line for the Volunteers, but made the switch to the offensive side of the football upon entering the NFL. He is the son of Reggie McKenzie, a senior personnel executive with the Miami Dolphins who spent 2012-18 as general manager of the Oakland Raiders.
