PERSONAL: Attended East Marion (Miss.) High. Was a three-star prospect by ESPN.com, Scout.com and 247Sports and rated the No. 14 overall prospect in the state of Mississippi. As a senior, was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year and led his school to a 10-5 record and a berth in the 2014 2A Mississippi state semifinal game. Played both quarterback and safety. In his junior season, collected 88 tackles, five interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery, while tallying 1,737 passing yards and 21 passing touchdowns in addition to 1,288 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns. Was a two-sport athlete who was a three-time varsity letterwinner in baseball. Graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.
