Drafted with the 31st pick in the seventh round (249th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Second of two seventh-round picks in 2017. Third player selected out of Oklahoma State in club history (Last: Russell Okung, 2010).
College: In two seasons at Oklahoma State, played in 21 games, rushing 213 times for 1,076 yards for a 5.1 avg. and 13 TDs. Was selected the 2016 Thurman Thomas Award (Team’s outstanding offensive player) and was 2016 Team Captain as voted by teammates.
Senior: OSU’s second leading rusher with 559 yards on 82 carries (6.8 yards per attempt) despite missing four games early in the season due to injury. His nine rushing touchdowns led the team. Averaged 92.8 rushing yards per game in his final four games of the season and added five rushing touchdowns during that span. Added 13 catches for 128 yards on the year. Had a career-high 146 rushing yards in OSU’s win over TCU. Scored three touchdowns against Kansas - two rushing and one receiving.
Junior: Led OSU in rushing with 131 attempts and 517 yards. Added 170 receiving yards on 17 catches. Started nine times in his first year with the program and played in every game but the Kansas State game, which he missed due to injury. Fifth on the team with 687 all-purpose yards. His 104 yards on the ground versus UTSA marked OSU’s best individual rushing performance of the year and earned him OSU’s offensive player of the game award. Scored twice vs. UTSA.
Junior College: Played for coach Troy Morrell at Butler C.C. Ran for 994 yards and nine touchdowns on 139 attempts during his final junior college season. Also made 12 receptions for 63 yards and two scores. Totaled 611 yards and eight touchdowns on 109 rushing attempts as a freshman. Also caught seven passes for 94 yards. A late addition to the 2015 signing class who was previously committed to Georgia.
Personal: Played for coach Cecil Flowe at Parkview. Totaled 1,146 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns on 219 attempts as a senior. Also caught 15 passes for 122 yards and a score. Named all-district as a senior. Also played basketball and competed in track and field. Signed with Georgia out of high school. Christopher Dewayne Carson was born Sept. 16, 1994, in Biloxi, Miss. Son of Dina and Dorian Rowe. Majored in university studies/education.
