The Seahawks brought back tight end Cade Brewer after a very short time away from the team, re-signing the rookie tight end who initially joined the team in May as an undrafted free agent out of Texas.

Guard Shamarious Gilmore was waived to make room on the 80-man roster.

During his career with Texas, Brewer played in 55 games, starting 33, and was an All-Big 12 honorable mention pick in 2021 when he had a career-best 22 catches for 184 yards and three scores. In two preseason games with the Seahawks, Brewer had three catches for 17 yards. Brewer was waived over the weekend as the Seahawks reduced their roster to 80 players.

Gilmore, a first-team All-Sun Belt selection at Georgia State, signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in May.
