The Seahawks signed safety Rodney Thomas II to the 53-man roster after he spent the first two weeks of the season on the practice squad, being elevated for each of Seattle's first two games.
Guard Anthony Bradford was placed on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster. Additionally, the Seahawks signed Uso Seumalo to the practice squad and signed receiver Malick Meiga to the practice squad/exempt/commissioner permission.
Thomas, a former seventh-round pick out of Yale, signed with the Seahawks this offseason, then was eventually released prior to the start of the season and signed to the practice squad. With safety Ty Okada sidelined by a hamstring injury for the first two games, Thomas started at safety in both games, recording four tackles and a pair of passes defensed, one of which led to a Nehemiah Pritchett interception in a Week 1 win over New England.
Bradford, who started every game last season and opened 2026 as Seattle's starting right guard, did not play in Week 2 while being listed with knee and hip injuries on the injury report. Christian Haynes started in Bradford's place in Sunday's win over the Cardinals, and rookie Beau Stephens also saw playing time at that spot, playing 27 snaps to Haynes' 43 snaps.
Seumalo an undrafted rookie out of Kansas State, spent training camp and the preseason with the Seahawks and was one of the players featured in the team's appearance on "Hard Knocks."
Meiga, an undrafted rookie out of Coastal Carolina, spent training camp with the Carolina Panthers. Prior to playing at Coastal Carolina for two seasons, Meiga started his college career at Penn State. Born in the Ivory Coast and raised in Montreal, Meiga was also selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the second round of this year's CFL draft.
