The Seahawks signed veteran cornerback Trevon Diggs off of their practice squad ahead of their Week 5 game against the 49ers.
Rookie cornerback Julian Neal was placed on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster, the result of a hamstring injury suffered in practice this week. The Seahawks also downgraded receiver Irv Charles from questionable to out. Charles, who is on injured reserve, returned to practice this week but has not yet been added to the 53-man roster.
Diggs, who signed with Seattle in August, made his Seahawks debut in last week's win over the Chargers, playing nine defensive snaps.
A 2020 second-round pick of the Cowboys, Diggs has appeared in 68 games,
starting 64, over his seven-year career. Diggs was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2021 and Pro-Bowler that season and in 2022.
