The Seahawks signed Velus Jones Jr. off of their practice squad on Saturday, adding running back depth ahead of their Week 4 game against the Chargers.

Running back Jadarian Price was placed on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster.

Additionally, cornerback Trevon Diggs and safety Maxen Hook were elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game.

Price, Seattle's first-round pick out of Notre Dame, was ruled out for the game on Friday due to a chest injury, and now will be required to miss a minimum of four games before being eligible to return. Price initially suffered the injury in Seattle's Week 2 win at Arizona, but was able to play in last week's game.

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Price aggravated the injury in Wednesday's practice.

Jones had previously been elevated from the practice squad for Seattle's opener against the Patriots and for last week's game in Washington. This is the second straight elevation for Hook, who made his NFL debut in last week's game.

Diggs, who signed with the Seahawks in August, will be making his Seahawks debut, presuming he sees playing time. A first-round All-Pro in 2021 and two-time Pro Bowler, the veteran corner has started 64 of 67 career games. Diggs appeared in one preseason game after signing with the Seahawks, recording an interception in Seattle's third preseason game at Kansas City.
