The Seahawks signed guard Evan Beerntsen to their practice squad on Monday.
Beerntsen, a rookie out of Northwestern, fills the open spot the Seahawks had on their practice squad after signing AJ Finley to the 53-man roster ahead of last week's opener.
A seventh-round pick of the Ravens in this year's draft, Beerntsen gives the Seahawks added offensive line depth after they lost guard Bryce Cabeldue last week on waivers. Cabeldue was waived Wednesday to make room for Finley on the 53-man roster, and was subsequently claimed by the Raiders.
Beerntsen started his college career at South Dakota State, where he was a three-year starter for the Jackrabbits, earning second-team AP FSC All-American honors in 2024. He then transferred to Northwestern for his final season, starting all 13 games at right guard while earning Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Conference recognition in 2025.
