The Seahawks added to their running back depth on Tuesday, signing Robert Henry Jr. off of the Washington Commanders' practice squad. They also signed running back Dontae McMillan to their practice squad.

Safety AJ Finley was waived to make room on the 53-man roster. Additionally, running back Jacardia Wright was placed on practice squad injured reserve.

Henry and McMillan give the Seahawks two more options at running back with Jadarian Price currently on injured reserve, and with Zach Charbonnet, who is on the physically unable to perform list, still working his way back. He'll add to a group that currently includes Emanuel Wilson, who started last weekend's win over the Chargers, George Holani and Velus Jones Jr.

Henry, an undrafted rookie out of UTSA, signed with the Commanders after the draft and spent training camp and the preseason with Washington before being waived and re-signed to the practice squad prior to the start of the season. In three preseason games, Henry rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries.

At UTSA, Henry was a first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection in 2025, rushing for 1,045 yards and nine touchdowns while ranking third in FBS with a 6.9 yards-per-carry average. Over the previous two seasons, he rushed for 1,294 yards and 18 touchdowns, and finished his career with a school-record 5.7 yards-per-carry average.

Henry began his college career at Jones College in Mississippi, and in 2022 won the inaugural Walter Jones Trophy, which is given to the nation's top junior college player. The Walter Jones Trophy, which was founded by JUCO Weekly, is named for the Seahawks Legend and Pro Football Hall of Fame left tackle, who began his career at Holmes Community College before going on to star at Florida State and in the NFL.

McMillan, an undrafted rookie out of Eastern Michigan, signed with Baltimore after the draft, and in three preseason games he rushed for 109 yards on 15 carries, including a 63-yard run.

McMillan, who is from Seattle, played at Chief Sealth High School in West Seattle where he was a first-team All-Metro selection after rushing for 2,019 yards and 44 touchdowns as a senior. In his final season at Eastern Michigan, McMillan rushed for 1,015 yards and four touchdowns, adding 375 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns, helping him earn second-team All-MAC honors. McMillan began his college career at Weber State, earning third-team All-Big Sky Conference honors in 2022 after rushing for 801 yards and six touchdowns.
