The Seahawks elevated Rodney Thomas II from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game in Arizona, the second straight elevation for the veteran safety.
Additionally, right guard Anthony Bradford, who was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report with knee and hip injuries, has been downgraded to out. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Friday that if Bradford wasn't able to play, Christian Haynes would be the next man up. It would be the first start for the third-year lineman if Haynes does indeed start.
Thomas, who signed with the Seahawks as a free agent this offseason, started last week in place of an injured Ty Okada and played 70 of 71 defensive snaps, making several big plays in his Seahawks debut, including a pass breakup that resulted in a Nehemiah Pritchett interception. With Okada again ruled out due to a hamstring injury, Thomas is expected to start again.
"We saw Rodney play great football and that's what it's going to take," Macdonald said Friday. "Whoever's out there, it takes playing great football for us to play great football."
