The Seahawks signed defensive tackle Deven Eastern off of their practice squad to add depth on their defensive line.

Seattle also elevated tackle Bobby Hart and receiver Montorie Foster Jr. from their practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Eastern, a seventh-round pick out of Minnesota in this year's draft, will be making his Seahawks debut after spending the first half of the season on the practice squad. He'll give the Seahawks added depth on the line with Leonard Williams and Brandon Pili, as well as outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, all ruled out due to injury.

No corresponding move was needed to add Eastern, as the Seahawks freed up a roster spot on Friday by releasing running back Velus Jones Jr., who they subsequently signed to the practice squad.

Hart, a free-agent signing this offseason, will serve as the Seahawks' swing tackle for the second straight week with Josh Jones starting at left tackle in place of Charles Cross, who is out with an ankle injury. This is also the second elevation in a row for Foster, who will give the Seahawks added receiver depth with Rashid Shaheed sidelined by a knee injury.

The Seahawks did not make a move to sign or elevate quarterback Adrian Martinez, who signed to the practice squad earlier this week with starter Sam Darnold out due to injury, meaning they will go into Sunday's game with only two quarterbacks, Drew Lock and Jalen Milroe.
