The Seahawks did a bit of roster tinkering ahead of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Receiver Irvin Charles, who made his Seahawks debut last week after returning from injured reserve, was signed off the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

To make room on the roster, veteran cornerback Trevon Diggs was released, then subsequently signed to the practice squad. As a vested veteran, Diggs did not have to go through waivers before being signed to the practice squad.

Charles, who the Seahawks acquired in a trade with the Jets this offseason, returned from injured reserve to play last week, playing 15 snaps on special teams while recording one tackle.

Diggs, who signed with the Seahawks in August, has appeared in three games this season.
