Friday's Injury Report

The Seahawks will be without a pair of Pro-Bowl defensive backs for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, as cornerback Devon Witherspoon and safety Julian Love have both been ruled out. Witherspoon missed two games with a knee injury, but returned for last week's win in Arizona. Love, meanwhile, missed Seattle's Week 3 win over the Saints with a hamstring injury, then he also returned for last week's game.

Also ruled out for the Seahawks are outside linebacker DeMarcus Lawrence, who left last week's win with a quadricep injury, and reserve tackle Josh Jones, who injured his ankle in Week 3, an injury that also kept him out of last week's game.

The Seahawks will be getting back rookie safety Nick Emmanwori, who has missed the past three games with ankle injury, and with Love out, they can also turn to Ty Okada and D'Anthony Bell, both of whom have played significant snaps this season.

With Witherspoon out, the Seahawks will likely again turn to Derion Kendrick in the nickel role. Kendrick, who was claimed off waivers prior to the opener, was a standout during Witherspoon's two-game absence, recording a pair of interceptions and five passes defensed in wins over the Steelers and Saints.

For the Buccaneers, five players were ruled out on Friday, a group that includes starting receiver Mike Evans, starting running back Bucky Irvin, and cornerback Jamel Dean, as well as backup corner Benjamin Morrison. Also out is backup safety Christian Izien.

Thursday's Injury Report

The Seahawks' injury report for Thursday was the same as Wednesday's, with four players—tackle Josh Jones (ankle), outside linebacker DeMarcus Lawrence (quadricep), safety Julian Love (hamstring) and cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee)—not participating.

Friday's game status designations, and any updates from Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald, will give more clarity on those four, but missing two straight days of practice indicates that their statuses are in question for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Rookie safety Nick Emmanwori, who missed the past three games with an ankle injury, was again a full participant, making his return seem increasingly likely.

For the Buccaneers, five players remained sidelined from practice, including top running back Bucky Irving and receiver Mike Evans, but four players listed as non-participants on Wednesday were able to practice Thursday, including quarterback Baker Mayfield, who was a full participant.

Wednesday's Injury Report

The Seahawks held four players out of practice on Wednesday as they prepare for a Week 5 contest between 3-1 NFC teams. DeMarcus Lawrence, who exited last week's game with a quadricep injury, did not practice, nor did tackle Josh Jones, who was out last week due to an ankle injury. Two players who returned from injury last week, safety Julian Love (hamstring) and cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee) were also held out Wednesday's practice.

Rookie safety Nick Emmanwori, who has missed the past three games since injuring his ankle early in the season opener, was a full participant, an encouraging sign for his chances of returning this week.

The Buccaneers had nine players listed as non-participants on what is an estimated report, as they held a walkthrough on Wednesday. Among those listed as not practicing are running back Bucky Irving, who is dealing with a new foot injury, receiver Mike Evans, who missed last week's game with a hamstring injury, and quarterback Baker Mayfield, who is listed with knee and right biceps injuries, though it's worth noting that he was also on last week's report and was able to play.
