Thursday's Injury Report

The Seahawks added quarterback Sam Darnold to the injury report on Thursday with an oblique injury, and listed him as questionable for Saturday's divisional round game against the 49ers.

Not long after practice, however, Darnold said he fully expects to play.

"I feel good," Darnold said. "In routes on air, I just felt a little something in my oblique. I just didn't want to push it. It wasn't the day to push it, so that was it. I came inside, got some rehab, and I feel like I'll be ready to go for Saturday.

"We'll attack it the next couple of days and be ready to go on Saturday… It is what it is. I felt it on a throw, but we'll be ready to go."

When a follow-up question asked Darnold the likelihood that he would not play, he said, "It's a very low percentage, probably closer to zero."

Other than Darnold, the only player on the 53-man roster with a game status was tackle Josh Jones, who has been ruled out with a knee injury. Jones started the past three games at left tackle in place of Charles Cross, who was sidelined with a hamstring injury, but Cross does not have a status on Thursday's report, meaning he is set to make his return. Also back this week is safety Coby Bryant, who missed the previous two games with a knee injury.

The Seahawks also ruled out tight end Elijah Arroyo and linebacker Chazz Surratt, who have returned to practice, indicating that they will not be activated from injured reserve for Saturday's game.

For the 49ers, starting safety Ji'Ayir Brown has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, while four players are questionable, receiver Jacob Cowing (hamstring), linebacker Luke Gifford (quadricep), receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee) and linebacker Dee Winters (ankle). Pearsall is trying to return after missing the past two games, including Seattle's Week 18 win in Santa Clara. The 49ers will have left tackle Trent Williams, who missed the Week 18 game with a hamstring injury before returning for last week's wild card win in Philadelphia. The 49ers also placed Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle on injured reserve this week, the result of an Achilles injury suffered last weekend. Standout linebacker Fred Warner, who has been on injured reserve for most of the season, returned to practice this week, but was ruled out, meaning he will not be activated.

Wednesday's Injury Report

The Seahawks had one new addition to their injury report on Wednesday, though not due to injury, with linebacker Ernest Jones IV not participating due to illness. Another change to the report was the addition of a knee injury for Charles Cross, who is also listed with the hamstring injury that kept him out of the final three games of the regular season. Cross was limited on Wednesday after being a full participant a day earlier.

Aside from those two, everyone's status either stayed the same or improved from Tuesday to Wednesday. Outside linebacker DeMarcus Lawrence, who was limited with an Achilles injury a day earlier, was listed as a full participant, and Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said they're expecting Lawrence to be fine for Saturday's game, saying, "It's just something we're managing."

Linebacker Chazz Surratt (ankle), who returned to practice this week, went from limited to full, while linebacker Tyrice Knight (shoulder) went from not practicing Tuesday to limited on Wednesday. Cornerback Riq Woolen was listed as limited for a second straight day with an oblique injury.

For the 49ers, starting left tackle Trent Williams went from limited on Tuesday to full participation on Wednesday. Williams missed San Francisco's Week 18 game against Seattle with a hamstring injury, then returned for his team's wild card win over Philadelphia. Receiver Ricky Pearsall, who missed the last two games with a knee injury, was listed as limited for a second straight day, while safety Ji'Ayir Brown (hamstring) and linebacker Luke Gifford (quadricep) were again listed as non-participants.

Tuesday's Injury Report

The Seahawks kicked off their practice week on Tuesday in preparation for their divisional round game against the 49ers, and did so with nearly everyone on their 53-man roster, as well as two players designated to return from injured reserve, taking part in the practice.

Only two players did not practice, linebacker Tyrice Knight (shoulder) and tackle Josh Jones (knee), who started at left tackle in place of an injured Charles Cross for the final three games of the regular season, playing through knee and ankle injuries in Week 18.

Cross, meanwhile, was listed as a full participant after missing three games with a hamstring injury, as was safety Coby Bryant, who missed the previous two games with a knee injury. Their statuses lines up with what Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said about those two players heading into Week 18, which was that both Cross and Bryant would likely make it back for the playoffs.

Two new names to the injury report were cornerback Riq Woolen (oblique) and outside linebacker DeMarcus Lawrence (Achilles), who were both limited participants.

Tight end Elijah Arroyo, who was designated to return to practice last week, was listed as a full participant, while linebacker Chazz Surratt, who was designated to return on Tuesday, was limited.

The 49ers, coming off a wild card win over the Eagles on Sunday, held a walkthrough, meaning their report was an estimation of participation had they practice. Receiver Ricky Pearsall, who missed the last two games with a knee injury, was listed as limited, as was left tackle Trent Williams, who returned for Sunday's game after missing the Week 18 game against Seattle due to a hamstring injury. Safety Ji'Ayir Brown (hamstring) and linebacker Luke Gifford (quadricep) were listed as non-participants.
