RB Travis Homer Downgraded To Out

The Seahawks will be without running back Travis Homer for Sunday's game against the Rams. Homer, who had a touchdown reception in last week's game, was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report due to illness and a knee injury, but on Saturday he was downgraded to out. Homer was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday, then was limited on Friday.

Friday's Injury Report

The Seahawks will head to Los Angeles to face the Rams with a mostly healthy roster, as only three players are listed as questionable, and none have been ruled out or are listed as doubtful.

Illness has kept several players out of practice this week, including eight players on Thursday, but as of Friday at least, the only players in question due to illness are safety Josh Jones and running back Travis Homer, though Homer is also listed as having a knee injury. Safety Ryan Neal, who left last week's game with shoulder and elbow injuries, is also questionable, though in an encouraging sign, he was able to return to practice Thursday after being held out Wednesday. Tackle Abraham Lucas, who was added to the injury report Thursday with a knee injury, does not have a game status, meaning he should be good to go.

The Rams, meanwhile, have five players ruled out, including starting quarterback Matthew Stafford and All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Three more players—center Brian Allen, cornerback Troy Hill and linebacker Ernest Jones—are questionable.

Thursday's Injury Report

Whatever ailment is going through the locker room continues to be an issue for the Seahawks, as eight players were held out of practice Thursday due to illness.

Guard Damien Lewis and running back Travis Homer missed a second straight day due to illness—Homer is also listed with a knee injury—while six players were new to the injury report, all missing practice due to illness: defensive end Quinton Jefferson, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, safety Josh Jones, running back Tony Jones Jr., defensive end Myles Adams and receiver Marquise Goodwin.

Guard Phil Haynes and nose tackle Al Woods were both full participants after sitting out Wednesday due to illness.

On the injury front, safety Ryan Neal was a full participant only four days after leaving Seattle's Week 13 game with elbow and shoulder injuries. Also a full-go was linebacker Bruce Irvin, who didn't practice Wednesday due to a knee injury.

Right tackle Abraham Lucas was new to the injury report, listed as limited with a knee injury. Guard Gabe Jackson was also limited, though for rest, not injury.

Wednesday's Injury Report

The Seahawks had a pair of players miss practice Wednesday due to injury, safety Ryan Neal, who suffered elbow and shoulder injuries injury late in Sunday's loss to the Raiders, and outside linebacker Bruce Irvin, who has a knee injury.

But while the Seahawks aren't dealing with a lot of injuries at the moment, they are battling some sort of illness, with four players missing Wednesday's practice due to illness.

Neal's absence was expected, though Seahawks coach Pete Carroll did say that Neal went through Wednesday's walkthrough and is optimistic that he can make it back for Sunday's game.

"He went through the walkthrough today," Carroll said prior to Wednesday's practice. "I think we are going to hold him out of practice, but he's much better than we anticipated when he was coming off of the field and all of that. He's a tough dude, he says he's not missing it, so we will see if he can pull it off. We will rest him today and then take it day by day."

The Rams will be without All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald due to an ankle injury, Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters Wednesday, and will likely also once again be without starting quarterback Matthew Stafford (concussion/neck).
