The Seahawks signed receiver Laquon Treadwell off of their practice squad on Tuesday, adding receiver depth with Tyler Lockett expected to miss time due to a hand injury.

Defensive tackle Bryan Mone, who suffered an ACL injury in Seattle's Week 15 loss to the 49ers, was placed on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster.

Additionally, defensive tackle Jarrod Hewitt was signed to the practice squad.

Treadwell, a former first-round pick of the Vikings, signed to Seattle's practice squad last month, and was elevated off the practice squad three times, playing 29 snaps on offense and 24 on special teams, catching one pass in a Week 13 win over the Rams.

Treadwell gives a fifth healthy receiver along with DK Metcalf, Marquise Goodwin, Dareke Young and Penny Hart. As for Lockett, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said the hope is that Lockett will get back before the end of the season.

"Very optimistic review this morning from the docs that he's got a chance to get back quickly, and we'll see if it can happen," Carroll said on Friday. "If there's any way possible, he'll do it, he'll figure it out. We've had good success with this guy in the past, he's been really an expert at it. Maybe (Lockett) can pull off something that would surprise us a little bit here, so we'll see. And I know that's what Tyler is wanting to do."

Hewitt, who initially signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2021, spent time earlier this season on the practice squad before being released earlier this month.
