The Seahawks signed D'Anthony Bell to their practice squad on Wednesday, keeping the veteran safety with the team after he was waived on Tuesday.

Cornerback Tyler Hall was released to make room on the practice squad.

Bell, who signed with Seattle as a free agent, has appeared in 13 games this season with two starts, recording 10 tackles and half a sack on defense, as well as five tackles and a blocked punt on special teams.

The Seahawks opened up a spot on the 53-man roster by waiving Bell this week, one that could be filled by receiver Dareke Young, who has returned to practice but not yet been activated from injured reserve. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said on Wednesday that Young is ready to return.
