NASHVILLE—The Seahawks placed receiver Jake Bobo on injured reserve Saturday, the result of the knee injury he suffered in Friday's joint practice with the Titans.

Receiver Julian Hicks was signed to fill the open roster spot.

Bobo injured his knee attempting to make a leaping catch in Friday's practice, and after practice Macdonald said the initial diagnosis was not good. And as Saturday's roster move confirms, Bobo will miss the 2026 season.

"Our heart goes out to Jake Bobo, it seems like it's going to be a serious knee," Macdonald said after Friday’s practice. "We're going to get it imaged, but early returns, it looks like it's a long-term injury. That's unfortunate."

Hicks returns to the Seahawks after initially signing last weekend before being waived to make room on the roster for the signing of Trevon Diggs. Hicks, who went undrafted out Albany in 2024, signed with the Packers and spent his rookie season on the practice squad, then re-signed with the Packers, spending training camp and the preseason with Green Bay last year.

The Seahawks traveled to Nashville, Tennessee and participated in a joint practice with the Titans on Friday, August 21.
