The Seahawks signed linebacker Power Echols on Friday. Linebacker Joseph Vaughn was waived to make room on the 90-man roster.
Echols, a three-year starter and a team captain at North Carolina, initially came into the league as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Bears following the 2025 draft. After being waived prior to the start of the season, Echols was then signed to Chicago's practice squad. He also spent time on Houston's practice squad last season.
At North Carolina, Echols started 39 games over his final three seasons, earning third-team All-ACC honors in 2023, and honorable mention All-ACC honors in 2022 and 2024.
Vaughn, who went undrafted out of UCLA in 2025, signed with the Seahawks last week.
