The Seahawks added depth at linebacker on Saturday, signing Joseph Vaughn.

Linebacker Ja'Markis Weston was waived/injured to make room on the 90-man roster.

Vaughn, who went undrafted out of UCLA last year, signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent and spent camp with Indianapolis before being waived prior to the start of the season. The Colts then signed him to a future contract after the season, then waived him this spring.

Vaughn appeared in 12 games in 2024, his one season with UCLA, totaling eight tackles. Prior to playing for the Bruins, Vaughn was a two-time All-Ivy League selection, including first-team honors in 2023, during his three seasons at Yale.

Weston, who signed to the Seahawks' practice squad late last season, would revert to Seattle's injured reserve list if he clears waivers.

Seahawks players practiced in front of the 12s on Friday, July 31 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
