The Seahawks added to their edge depth on Tuesday, signing outside linebacker Garrett Nelson.
Receiver Kyre Duplessis, an undrafted rookie out of Delaware who signed with Seattle last week, was waived to make room on the 90-man roster.
Nelson, who went undrafted out of Nebraska in 2023, has spent time with the Dolphins, Bengals, Broncos and Saints over the past three seasons, and also played for the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League.
Nelson was a team captain and a second-team All-Big Ten selection in his final season at Nebraska, recording a team-high nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks to go along with 64 tackles, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Nelson finished his college career having started 32 consecutive games, starting every game from 2020-2022.
