Seahawks Kick Off 2022 Season With New Gameday Enhancements & Aloe Blacc Halftime Concert

The Seahawks announced new enhancements, events and attractions for you to enjoy during the 2022 NFL Season at Lumen Field.


With less than two weeks to go until the Seattle Seahawks kickoff the season against the Denver Broncos at Lumen Field, the team announced new enhancements and attractions for all to enjoy.

There will be a ton of new things at Lumen Field, ranging from state-of-the-art technology to new food and beverage items to make for an upgraded fan experience when the season kicks off on September 12th, not to mention a halftime performance from Grammy nominee Aloe Blacc.

In July, Lumen Field celebrated its 20-Year anniversary as host of the Seahawks with 20 of the team's greatest moments at home. Now the fans will get a new experience to enjoy the games, from more food to more fun.

First & Goal Hospitality is putting a new twist on concession eats at Lumen; take a bite of the new Pork Bulgogi foot-long hot dog, and wash it down with one of the new signature cocktails. Make it a meal for two with the 'Blitz Bucket' - a smorgasbord of appetizers on-the-go in the Smokehouse sections 214 or 230 for $37.99.

The 6,300 square-foot Cityside Bars area under the Hawks Nest is a brand-new concession area where you can catch a bite to eat or a drink without missing a second of the action. New field-view access on concourses keeps fans in the game while they aren't in their seats. Mitsubishi's Pixel Pitch Diamond Vision video boards in the north end of the stadium are double the size of the previous, making graphics and information clear for all eyes.

The home-opener against Denver will feature a performance by Grammy-nominated R&B artist Aloe Blacc to bring the house down at Lumen.

"When you think about a sporting event, a lot goes into the fan experience – the atmosphere and vibe, the ease of getting in and around the building, finding food and drinks that make you feel good, the entertainment that surrounds the game, and then there's the action on the field," said Seahawks vice president of marketing and community engagement Jeff Richards. "Outside of the game itself, our groups are obsessed with making sure every other detail has been thought through from a fan's perspective, and that their gameday experience makes them want to come back again and again. A hallmark of how we approach curating the fan experience at Lumen Field is listening constantly to our fans. We do that through fan attendee surveys, notes and feedback, third-party secret shoppers and observers and a lot of conversation with all types of folks who come through our building on a gameday.

"Some of the bigger enhancements 12s will experience this season were aimed at bringing fans closer to the action. The giant new videoboards in the North End are nearly two-and-a-half times the size of the boards they replace, making replays, stats and entertainment elements easier for fans to enjoy. Our new 12 Cam feature can turn any mobile phone at Lumen Field into a stadium camera, allowing fans to be featured on the videoboards at different points of the game. One other new feature this season is the Lumen Lens kiosks in Touchdown City and the upper and lower concourses that lets fans select their favorite Seahawks player, step back, smile and create a keepsake photo that gets delivered via email or text message to post on social media."

The Seattle Seahawks Charitable Foundation will launch the first ever 50/50 electronic raffle in Washington state at the home opener vs. Denver on September 12. The 2022 Spirit of 12 Partners are: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, Boys & Girls Clubs of King County, Choose 180, FareStart, NAMI Seattle, Seahawks Flag Football Scholarship Fund, Seattle Pride, Task Force 12, Treehouse, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Foundation, Young Women Empowered, and the Youth Achievement Center. Fans 18 or older will be able to buy 50/50 raffle tickets at 16 different kiosk locations around Lumen Field from sellers in action green T-shirts. Each home game, a T-shirt cannon-style "Bratzooka" will fire neatly-packed brats into the lower level of the bowl, courtesy of Oberto and Bavarian Meats.
