Friday's Injury Report
The Seahawks will head into the weekend with four players listed as doubtful for their Week 3 game against the Saints, including three key members of their secondary.
Cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee) and safety Nick Emmanwori (ankle) are both doubtful after missing last week's game due to injuries sustained in Week 1, while safety Julian Love is doubtful due to a hamstring injury. All three were limited in practice on Friday, indicating that even if they don't play this weekend, they could be back soon.
Also listed as doubtful is running back Zach Charbonnet, who is dealing with a foot injury, and he did not practice.
If Emmanwori and Love are both unable to play, the Seahawks will need to add help at safety, with Coby Bryant and Ty Okada being the only healthy safeties on the 53-man roster. Seattle has two safeties on their practice squad who could be elevated for the game, D'Anthony Bell, who was elevated last week, playing 12 snaps on defense, and Jerrick Reed II, a 2023 sixth-round pick who has appeared in 15 games over the past two seasons.
If Charbonnet is unable to play, George Holani would be the next man up at running back behind starter Kenneth Walker III. For additional depth options at running back, the Seahawks have rookie Jacardia Wright on the practice squad.

The Seahawks practiced for the second straight day with four players held out due to injury: cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee), safety Nick Emmanwori (ankle), running back Zach Charbonnet (foot) and safety Julian Love (hamstring).
Four players, however, are trending in a positive direction, with outside linebacker Derick Hall (hip), cornerback Josh Jobe (knee), linebacker Ernest Jones IV (shoulder) and tackle Abraham Lucas (elbow) all improving from limited on Wednesday to full participation on Thursday. Receiver Tory Horton was limited for a second straight day due to a groin injury.
For the Saints, starting left guard Trevor Penning, who missed the first two games of the season with a toe injury, was a limited participant for the second straight day. Starting right tackle Taliese Fuaga did not practice due to back and knee injuries for the second day in a row. Guard Dillon Radunz, who had been starting in place of Penning, did not travel with the team to Seattle today and has been ruled out. Wednesday's Injury Report
The Seahawks opened their practice week on Wednesday ahead of their Week 3 game against the Saints, and did so with four players held out due to injury.
Two of those players, cornerback Devon Witherspoon (knee) and safety Nick Emmanwori (ankle) missed Seattle's Week 2 win in Pittsburgh due to their injuries, while the other two non-participants are new to the injury report: running back Zach Charbonnet (foot) and safety Julian Love (hamstring).
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Monday that Witherspoon and Emmanwori both have a chance to make it back to practice this week, and that in the case of Emmanwori in particular, getting some practice reps in this week will be important if the rookie safety were to have a chance at playing Sunday.
Additionally, the Seahawks had five players listed as limited: outside linebacker Derick Hall (hip), receiver Tory Horton (groin), cornerback Josh Jobe (knee), linebacker Ernest Jones IV (shoulder) and right tackle Abraham Lucas (elbow).
For the Saints, starting left guard Trevor Penning returned to practice and was limited after missing the first two games of the season due to a toe injury. Starting right tackle Taliese Fuaga did not practice due to back and knee injuries, while guard Dillon Radunz, who had been starting in place of Penning, did not practice due to a toe injury. Defensive end Chase Young, who missed the first two games due to a calf injury, was a non-participant as well.
