The Seahawks signed receiver Cody White off the practice squad, putting him back on the 53-man roster after he was released, then signed to the practice squad a week ago.

Cornerback Shaquill Griffin was released to make room on the roster, then subsequently signed to the practice squad. As a vested veteran, Griffin did not have to clear waivers before signing to the practice squad.

White, who came into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State, was on Seattle's 53-man roster to start the season, a first for him in his six NFL seasons.

This move is a reversal of a move the Seahawks made with these two players last week, highlighting a topic Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald and general manager and president of football operations John Schneider have touched on multiple times, which is that the Seahawks view their team as a 70-man roster, one comprised of the 53 players on the active roster and the 17 on the practice squad.
