Monday's Injury Report

A Thursday night game in Denver means the Seahawks and Broncos were both required to put out their first injury report of the week on Monday even though neither team actually practiced.

The Seahawks' estimated practice report had two players listed as not practicing, linebacker Chazz Surratt, who has missed the past two games with a calf injury, and linebacker Drake Thomas, who injured his ankle in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, but was able to return to the game.

New to the injury report this week was receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who was listed as limited with an ankle injury, but was able to finish Sunday's game. Also new on the report is backup quarterback Drew Lock, who was listed as limited with a right forearm injury. Defensive tackle Leonard Williams, who injured his ankle in Seattle's Week 4 win over the Chargers, but was able to play on Sunday, was also listed as limited, as were guard Beau Stephens (shoulder) and running back Zach Charbonnet (knee).

Charbonnet, who is still on the physically unable to perform list, returned to practice ahead of Seattle's Week 4 game against the Chargers, but is unlikely to return to game action this week, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said.

"As of right now, the answer is no, subject to change," Macdonald said Monday. "Trying not to be boxed in there, some wiggle room."

Asked about Charbonnet's timing to return, Macdonald said, "We have to have consensus from all parties that he's ready to go, he's the most confident and ready to go, that he's had enough exposure to go play an NFL game. Those are the variables at play here. Can one area of that equation, can that adjust as we go? Yeah. But we're trying to do right by the process right now."

For the Broncos, two starters in their secondary were listed as non-participants, cornerback Patrick Surtain II, who missed last weekend's game with an ankle injury, and safety Talanoa Hufanga, who exited Sunday's win over the Chargers early with an ankle injury.
