The Seahawks added running back depth ahead of Sunday's NFC championship game against the Rams, elevating Cam Akers and Velus Jones Jr.

They, along with George Holani, who was activated from injured reserve this week, will provide depth behind starter Kenneth Walker III after Zach Charbonnet suffered a season-ending knee injury in last weekend's win over the 49ers.

Akers, a former second-round pick of the Rams, will be one of three Seahawks, along with receiver Cooper Kupp and linebacker Ernest Jones IV, facing their former team on Sunday, with all three having won a Super Bowl with the Rams four years ago. Akers has appeared in three games for the Seahawks since signing in November, seeing time on special teams, including two kick returns for 54 yards.

Jones, a fourth-year veteran who previously spent time with the Bears, Panthers and Saints, appeared in three regular-season games for Seattle this year, as well as last week's divisional round win over the Rams. He had four carries for 32 yards in the regular season, and carried six times for 10 yards late in last week's win as the Seahawks ran out the clock.
