The Seahawks head to Washington this week looking for a win that would clinch a playoff berth, and are hoping to get a few players back from injury for the game. Here's a look at the team's injury situation this week:

Friday's Injury Report

The Seahawks ruled three players out for Sunday's game at Washington, running back Travis Homer, guard/tackle Jamarco Jones and guard Phil Haynes. Four players, meanwhile, are questionable, including a pair of starters: defensive end Carlos Dunlap II and right tackle Brandon Shell. Dunlap was able to practice on limited basis Friday, his first practice participation in three weeks, while Shell was again held out of practice.

If Shell can't go, the Seahawks will have back Cedric Ogbuehi, who has missed the past two games with a calf injury. He does not have an injury designation, meaning he's ready to go. Also off the injury report and good to go is safety Ryan Neal, who missed last week's game with a hip injury.

The status of players not currently on the 53-man roster, but who have returned to practice, is not included on the injury report, so it is not known if any of tight end Greg Olsen, running back Rashaad Penny, cornerback Quinton Dunbar and defensive end Damontre Moore will play this weekend, though if any are going to play, a roster move will have to occur by Saturday to get them on the 53-man roster.

Washington ruled out starting quarterback Alex Smith on Friday, meaning Dwayne Haskins will start in his place. Also out is starting linebacker and former Seahawk Kevin Pierre-Louis, while leading rusher Antonio Gibson is doubtful with a toe injury.

Thursday's Injury Report

All five players who were held out of Wednesday's practice were non-participants again on Thursday, including a pair of starters the team is hoping to get back this week: defensive end Carlos Dunlap II and right tackle Brandon Shell. Starting offensive linemen Duane Brown and Mike Iupati were both added to the did-not-participate group, though both have the "resting vet" status with their injuries, indicating it's as much about rest as an actual injury concern (Brown has taken Thursdays off all season).

Running back Chris Carson went from a full participant Wednesday to limited on Thursday, while fellow back Carlos Hyde went from limited to full participation. Safety Ryan Neal went from limited to full participation, a good sign that he is on his way back from the hip injury that kept him out last week. Receiver DK Metcalf, defensive tackle Jarran Reed and tight end Colby Parkinson, who were listed as full participants on Wednesday, were removed from the injury report all together Thursday, indicating their injuries are non-issues.

For Washington, starting quarterback Alex Smith and leading rusher Antonio Gibson did not practice for a second straight day.

Wednesday's Injury Report

Five players opened the week sidelined due to injury, including three players who didn't play last week—defensive end Carlos Dunlap II, running back Travis Homer and guard/tackle Jamarco Jones—as well as right tackle Brandon Shell, who left last week's game with an ankle injury. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll expressed optimism that Shell and Dunlap will be able to play this week, but indicated it will be late in the week before they know their status for certain.

Six more players were limited, while the list of full participants included receiver DK Metcalf, indicating the ankle injury that briefly took him out of Sunday's game is not going to be an issue. Also practicing fully was tackle Cedric Ogbuehi, who is hoping to get back from a calf injury this week.

And as a reminder, running back Rashaad Penny (knee), cornerback Quinton Dunbar (knee) and tight end Greg Olsen (foot), do not have to be listed on the injury report even if they aren't practicing fully because, while they have returned to practice, they have not yet been added to the 53-man roster.

Most notable on Washington's injury report is that starting quarterback Alex Smith (calf) and leading rusher Antonio Gibson (toe) were both unable to practice Wednesday.
