Jarran Reed Ruled Out

Veteran defensive tackle Jarran Reed has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals due to wrist and thumb injuries.

Reed has been on the injury report the past two weeks with a wrist injury and was listed as questionable for last week's game at Washington, but was able to play in that game. Reed practiced fully this week and did not have a game status on Friday's injury report.

Friday's Injury Report

The Seahawks ruled out four players ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals, and two more are doubtful due to injuries.

Starting linebacker Ernest Jones IV, who left last week's game with a knee injury, is doubtful after not practicing Friday, while rookie receiver Tory Horton, who has shin and groin injuries, is also doubtful.

Ruled out are receivers Jake Bobo (calf) and Dareke Young (quadriceps), who will be missing a second straight game, as well as cornerback Josh Jobe, who suffered a concussion in last week's win. The Seahawks also ruled out guard Christian

Haynes, who returned to practice from injured reserve, but has not yet been added back to the roster.

A pair of starters on offense, receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring/heel) and tight end AJ Barner (calf) are questionable, but both practiced fully on Friday, a good sign for their chances of playing on Sunday.

For the Cardinals, four players have been ruled out, including starting linebacker Mack Wilson (ribs) and starting cornerbacks Max Melton (concussion) and Will Johnson (back/hip). Starting right guard Will Hernandez is questionable with a knee injury.

Wednesday's Injury Report

The Seahawks opened their practice week with what they refer to as an ACT (alignment, communication and technique) practice, meaning it was not a full speed practice, and therefore Wednesday's report was an estimation of participation.

And on a positive note, starting linebacker Ernest Jones IV was listed as a limited participant three days after exiting Sunday night's win in Washington with a knee injury.

"He's working through it," Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said. "He's going to be part of our walkthrough. We'll see how much he does in the actual ACT, so I'm sure he'll be listed as limited in some capacity today, then we'll see tomorrow. But he's in good spirits."

Receiver Cooper Kupp, who missed Sunday's game with a hamstring injury, was a non-participant, as were receiver Jake Bobo (calf), cornerback Josh Jobe (concussion) and receiver Dareke Young (quadricep).

On Kupp, Macdonald said, "He wanted to play; it was the best thing for him not to. The guy's a stud, he's going to do everything possible to play, and it's up to us to make the best decision for him and for the team."

One noteworthy name not on the injury report is Devon Witherspoon, who came out of the game healthy after returning from a knee injury.

"Spoon's feeling good," Macdonald said.

Tight end AJ Barner was a new addition to this week's report, listed as limited due to a calf injury. Also new are tight end Elijah Arroyo (elbow) and receiver Tory Horton (groin), though both were listed as full participants.

The Cardinals, who also held a walkthrough practice, had two players listed as non-participants due to injury—cornerback Max Melton (concussion) and linebacker Mack Wilson (ribs)—while eight were listed as limited.
