Good afternoon, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Wednesday, June 10 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Veterans Blue Friday Bingo

The Seahawks are proud to honor our veterans and always strive to do so, in the community and most recently: over video calls! With community events on hold during social distancing, Defensive tackle Bryan Mone found a fun way to virtually interact with veterans in remembrance of D-Day last week. Adding game host to his resume, Mone jumped on a video call to lead the veterans of Patriots Landing Veterans home in Blue Friday Bingo.

"I just want to thank you guys for everything you do, from the bottom of my heart," he said to kick off the event. "I hope you guys are ready to compete!"

Over 40 World War II veterans took part in the event from Patriots Landing in DuPont, Wash. Following along from projectors set up in several rooms, they watched as Mone called out bingo numbers. For the residents, it was a much welcome community event making the most of social distancing.

Mone brought his own style to calling bingo, celebrating winners' victories like he had just recorded a huge stop on third down. He led the veterans in a 'Go Hawks' chant, announced the lucky winners of Seahawks 12 jerseys, and brought energy and smiles throughout.

At the end, the residents thanked Mone and sent him off with one last Seahawks chant.

"You guys are the real MVPs! You are the ones I should be applauding!" Mone said.

Celebrating Graduating Seniors

All graduating seniors deserve a special send-off, and the Seahawks have a message for those students:

Each week in June we will be highlighting 2020 high school grads and providing resources to commemorate seniors' accomplishments. At our senior spotlight page, families can request a special graduation certificate signed by head coach Pete Carroll, general manager John Schneider, and Seahawks President Chuck Arnold. Seahawks virtual grad backgrounds are also available for download!

This week, we celebrate Jaymeel Turner of Lakes High School, Baylie Williamson of Bethel High School, Mason Bridges of Glacier Peak High School, Brandon Ducusin of Kennedy Catholic, and Ryan Moreno of Fife High School on their graduation achievements. Learn more about their stories here or nominate your grad today!
