Good morning, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today — Tuesday, January 25 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

Quandre Diggs Named To PFWA All-NFC Team

After another season of serving as the heart and soul of the Seahawks' secondary and bringing a sense of swagger to the team as a whole, free safety Quandre Diggs was named to the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA)'s All-NFC team, which was announced on Monday

Ever since joining the team in a trade with the Lions midway through the 2019 season, Diggs has been one of the most important pieces of the Seahawks defense. He grabbed three interceptions in just five games that year and has intercepted five in each of the past two seasons, making him one of five players with at least 10 interceptions over the past two years.

Diggs' 94 total tackles this season were good for third-most on the team behind Jordyn Brooks (183) and Bobby Wagner (170), who were ranked second and third respectively in the entire NFL in that category. Diggs and Wagner also earned Seattle's only two Pro Bowl nods this season.

Diggs' impressive play this season also earned him the Defensive MVP award in the 2021 Seahawks Season Honors. "He's been a really steady force," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said when Diggs was named a Pro-Bowler. "He's been obvious. His hitting, his alley play in the running game, it's really as good as it gets, and he's a real ball hawk… He's just a really complete football player, and he's a very important leader, the guy back there calling the shots and directing traffic and all that, so he's doing everything."
