The catalyst of the explosive 2005 team that went 13-3 en route to an appearance in Super Bowl XL — a first for the franchise — Alexander won league MVP behind 1,880 rushing yards and a whopping 28 total touchdowns, a league record at the time. The Alabama product would go on to run for more than 9,400 yards with the Seahawks, a team record that still stands today. NFL Network host and Seattle native Charissa Thompson sat down with Alexander recently to discuss his NFL journey — from starring at Boone County High School, to having to wait for his opportunity at Alabama, and then ultimately winning the starting job with the Seahawks where he would become one of the league’s elite rushers. When asked if he ever surprised himself with his production, Alexander had this to say: “No, no. I really didn’t. I wanted to be like a touchdown machine.
