Paying it forward.

That's something that Seahawks Legends have continued to do for long after they step off the gridiron.

Seahawks Legend Marcus Trufant was doing just that on Monday during BECU's annual day of service—paying it forward. Get it? There must be some kind of pun in there.

BECU held its annual day of service on October 14 in which nearly 2,200 BECU employees hosted financial reality fairs for nearly 10,000 students from 18 different high schools in the Puget Sound region and Spokane.

Trufant took part in the financial fair hosted at Wilson High School in Tacoma, Washington, which also happens to be where he attended high school. The former Seahawks cornerback took the time to teach kids about 'financial literacy,' as he spoke to the group about the importance of financial educations. He shared lessons that he learned along the way that deal with finance and also touched on the importance of budgeting.

A description of the company-wide event on BECU’s website reads, "Our Annual Day of Service is an event where all BECU employees provide financial education to high school students. Teaching healthy financial habits to students before they embark on their adult lives helps teens develop awareness and make educated saving and spending decisions."

Social Post Of The Day

Today's 'Social Post of the Day' comes from NFL Films, as they share a stunning shot of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson connecting with wide receiver Jaron Brown on a 17-yard touchdown pass to the corner of the end zone during the Seahawks' Week 6 win over the Cleveland Browns.
