The Seahawks added Godwin Igwebuike to the 53-man roster on Monday and placed safety Joey Blount on injured reserve.

After being elevated off of the practice squad in each of the last three games and impressing in kick return duty, running back Godwin Igwebuike has been signed to the 53-man roster.

Rookie safety Joey Blount, who injured his knee in Saturday's loss to the Chiefs, was placed on injured reserve to make room on the roster. Additionally, the Seahawks signed running back Tony Jones Jr. to the practice squad after waiving him last week.

Igwebuike, who signed to the team's practice squad earlier in the season, took over kick return duties three weeks ago and has since gained 255 yards on nine returns, including a 48-yarder on Saturday, and a 50-yard return in Week 14.

Blount, who made the team as an undrafted rookie out of Virginia, was a mainstay on special team all season, recording eight tackles and a fumble recovery.

Jones, who previously played for the Saints before joining the Seahawks earlier this season, appeared in four games for Seattle, seeing significant playing time on offense in a Week 13 win over the Rams after Kenneth Walker III left the game with an ankle injury.
