Seahawks fourth-year left tackle Charles Cross was announced as the Seahawks' nominee for the 2025 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.

Cross has been a veteran on Seattle's offensive line this season and has been an especially important teammate for rookie left guard Grey Zabel.

"It's unbelievable to, one, have a younger guy that's able to connect with you," Zabel said. "And then, two, the amount of football that he's played in the past few years and played at a really high level, is super important. So being able to kind of learn from him and kind of have him as a mentor teaching me the things that he knows is critical in my position."

Created in 2014, the award honors former Steelers owner Art Rooney Sr., and recognizes the player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents and integrity in competition.

A panel of former players will select eight finalists from the initial list of 32 nominees, and those eight finalists will be listed on the Pro Bowl ballot in December for players to select a winner.
