The Seahawks will be without three players when they open the season against the 49ers, with outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (knee), receiver Dareke Young (hamstring) and receiver Jake Bobo (concussion) all ruled out.

No other player has a game status designation, meaning everyone else should be available on Sunday, including starting right guard Anthony Bradford, who missed Thursday's practice with a back injury, cornerback Riq Woolen, who sat out Thursday due to illness, receiver Cody White, who was limited the past two days with a shoulder injury, and rookie receiver Tory Horton, who is coming back from an ankle injury suffered in Seattle's second preseason game, and who practiced fully this week.

Nwosu, who opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list following offseason knee surgery, is making good progress in his comeback, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said, he just still needs more time to be game ready.

"It's hard to put a timetable on this guy, because he just keeps beating it," Macdonald said. "He's ahead of schedule, he looks great. We just need some more exposure for him before we go do it for real on Sunday. But he's doing a phenomenal job, he looks good."

Bobo, who suffered a concussion on a punt return in Seattle's preseason finale in Green Bay, was able to practice on a limited basis this week, but has not yet cleared the concussion protocol to play on Sunday.

"Hoping so," Macdonald said of Bobo possibly playing next week. "He looks good, but you've got to clear the protocol, and he's just in it right now. His spirits are positive, but we just need to hit a couple more hurdles before we clear him."

Young, meanwhile, injured his hamstring in practice this week, but the hope is that he can make it back next week.

"He just tweaked his hammy running a route," Macdonald said.

Asked if Young can make it back next week, Macdonald said, "hopefully he'll practices. We'll kind of get a better feel in the middle of next week."

Horton, who worked his way up to being Seattle's No. 3 receiver behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp prior to his injury, has been playing catch up due to the ankle injury, but has gotten back up to speed quickly, Macdonald said, and with Bobo and Young both out, there should be plenty of opportunities for Horton in this week's game.

"It's a challenge for a rookie, but Tory has done a great job staying up to par," Macdonald said. "Fris (receivers coach Frisman Jackson) has done a phenomenal job with him, (passing game coordinator) Jake (Peetz) has. The rest of the vets in the room, keeping him up to speed, keeping the standard high. He's earned this opportunity, and I'm excited to see him play on Sunday."

The Seahawks continued their week of practice as they get set for the season debut vs. the 49ers on Sunday.
