Seahawks Elevate Ray-Ray Armstrong From Practice Squad

The Seahawks will have recently-signed linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong available on Sunday after elevating him from the practice squad.

The Seahawks elevated veteran linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong from their practice squad Saturday, meaning he is available to play in Sunday night's game at Arizona.

The move comes just three days after Armstrong, 29, was signed to the practice squad. Armstrong, who went undrafted out of Miami in 2013, has appeared in 84 games over the past seven seasons with the 49ers, Giants, Raiders, Rams, Browns, Cowboys and Saints.

Under a new rule this year, players can be elevated from the practice squad, up to two per game, with no corresponding move needed. Those players then revert to the practice squad on Monday without being subject to waivers.
