Seattle's 13-10 win over the New England Patriots on Wednesday was capped off by a Josh Jobe interception, where he showed off some receiver-esque skills, coming down with the ball and getting his feet in bounds by a hair to secure the Seahawks victory.

"Super happy for Jobe," Jaxon Smith-Njigba said. "I was happy to see him go attack the ball and keep his feet in and look like a receiver right there."

Jobe said "It was game on the line. Like we talk about, we live in the death zone, and we came alive and we took the ball away. That's what we talked about throughout the week, take the ball away and keep our eye on the ball."

Jobe's interception was just one of three on the night, with Nehemiah Pritchett coming away with one after Rodney Thomas II tipped a pass and a Julian Love interception to add to the already great night by the veteran safety.

Pritchett said the interception "felt great."

"Just having the front that we got. We all trust and believe in each other to do our job, so just having that mentality to come out strong, and finish the game, and put them away."

Collectively, the defense ended the night with 68 tackles, 3.0 sacks, nine tackles for loss, five quarterback hits and three interceptions. All of Seattle's sacks, interceptions and quarterback hits came in the second half.

"I want give our team a lot of credit because things weren't really going our way going into the half and we didn't panic," head coach Mike Macdonald said. "We still liked our plan. We didn't need to change what we were doing or anything like that. Just wanted to stick to what we were doing. I think the guys were really excited to go back out there and play which was really a tribute to our leadership, coaches, our communication as a staff. So I was pleased with that process."

In the second half, Seattle's defense was able to affect the quarterback more and New England was two for nine on third downs.

"I thought our guys played really hard," Macdonald said. "Our rush, it was a different type of game than it was X amount of months ago, so you got to be able to adjust. Again, our player leadership and our coaches of finding solutions, how to adjust the rush plan in real time based off the things we're seeing and how we want to adjust our coverages in real time is some high-powered stuff."

The momentum shift that Love provided Seattle, with thanks to a big hit on tight end Hunter Henry, gave the Seahawks the juice they needed to get going. And then Pritchett's interception in the fourth quarter to set up a drive that ended in a Smith-Njigba touchdown is when players knew they could walk away with a win.

"Nehemiah Pritchett had a helluva game today," Smith-Njigba said. "coming up with a big-time pick leading to a score."

Linebacker Uchenna Nwosu said "When that score went 10 to 10, the antennas went up. That's when the guys were like, 'It's time to go. We've got a chance to win. It's all on us, and we were able to do it."

Last season, Seattle's defense showed each week that it was one of the best and showed on Wednesday that it will likely continue to be.

"When you think about Seattle, we want you to think about our defense, and what we are going to bring each and every day," Ernest Jones IV said.
