Good afternoon, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today —Wednesday, December 6 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

When the winter season rolls around, so do the holidays. And for some Seahawks players, on their day off, they spent it in the community.

Trip To A Children's Hospital

The community engagement department of the Seahawks put together a day full of opportunities for current players to give back.

Mike Morris, Jake Bobo, Ty Okada, Jonathan Sutherland, Zach Charbonnet, Raiqwon O'Neal, McClendon Curtis and Brady Russell all visited a children's hospital in Seattle to spend time with the kids and deliver Seahawks gifts.

The players brightened the children's day by interacting and singing holiday songs with them.

Winter Coat Drive

Also yesterday, Uchenna Nwosu and DeeJay Dallas partnered together to host a winter coat drive. Both Nwosu and Dallas have their own foundations which are dedicated to promoting education, health and wellness to people.

The coat drive helped to raise over $1,500 for the Treehouse organization to provide youth in foster care with "high-quality winter essentials, personalized academic support, and funding positive winter experiences that every youth deserves," according to Treehouse's donation page.

Along with the money donated, over 70 coats and winter items were donated, over 80 Seahawks swag bags and an Uchenna Nwosu signed jersey was given to a raffle winner.

Food Lifeline Warehouse Visit

Geno Smith spent his afternoon at the Food Lifeline warehouse sorting and packaging over 6,500 pounds of produce and food for families and people in need.

During the visit to the warehouse, Smith and the Seahawks recognized Aaron Czyzewski of Food Lifeline as a Delta community captain. The Seahawks donated $10,000 to FoodLifeline in celebration of Czyzewski's honor and to benefit his work supporting military families in the state of Washington.
