Wednesday Round-Up: Tyler Lockett Earns Offensive Player Of The Week Honors From Pro Football Focus

Here's a look at what's happening today – Wednesday, Nov. 3 – for your Seattle Seahawks.PFF: Tyler Lockett Named Offensive Player Of The Week After a torrent start to the 2021 season, Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett cooled off as the team began to struggle. That all changed in Week 8, as the Seahawks secured a blowout victory and Lockett dominated the Jaguars’ secondary. After hauling in two receptions in each of the prior two weeks, the seventh-year pro totaled a season-high 12 catches on 13 targets. He added 142 receiving yards, his second-best output of the season. Pro Football Focus recognized Lockett’s performance, naming him their Week 8 Offensive Player of the Week. He also made PFF’s Team of the Week as the No. 1 wide receiver. Here’s what PFF’s Anthony Treash wrote about Lockett: “The Russell Wilson-less Seattle Seahawks had no issue moving the ball against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, and the reliability of wide receiver Tyler Lockett was a key reason why. “Lockett was Geno Smith’s go-to target on the day, as the ball was thrown his way on 54.2% of his routes -- the second-highest target rate by any pass-catcher in the 2021 season. “Lockett made the most of that large workload, hauling in every catchable target en route to a 91.2 PFF grade and 142 receiving yards.
