Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett and guard D.J. Fluker took it upon themselves to record their own ‘announcement video’ to reenact Russell’s post.

Round-Up_4.17.19

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Wednesday, April 17 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

"Hey Seattle, We Got A Deal."

I'm sure you're familiar with this sentence spoken by Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson from his bedroom. I know what you're wondering, Tempur-Pedic? Amerisleep? Just kidding. The important thing to note here is that this video was posted at 12:44 a.m. on April 16, announcing that Wilson struck a deal with the Seahawks and his contract will be extended.

Fans went nuts on Twitter once the video was posted because the Seahawks quarterback so casually made an extremely important announcement while in bed with Ciara. Plenty of 12s replied to the tweet with their own version of the 'bedroom announcement.' However, the best reenactment easily came from wide receiver Tyler Lockett and guard D.J. Fluker. Check it out below:

The reenactment features Lockett shirtless in the dark, only to be illuminated by the light from his phone, reciting back the same line, "Hey Seattle, we got a deal." Only then did the blanket drop to reveal Fluker following up with, "Go Hawks," and almost immediately bursting out into laughter. The 'ice' hanging around Lockett's neck infers that running back Chris Carson (the '32' chain) and cornerback Neiko Thorpe (the 'Ezzz' chain) must've somehow been involved with the theatrical rendition.

In all seriousness though, Russell's contract has been extended and you can read about it here from Seahawks.com's John Boyle. Who knows, maybe Lockett & Fluker's video may inspire to create your own reenactment?
