Wednesday Round-Up: Seahawks NFL 100 Tailgate At The Seattle Children’s Festival

Good morning, 12s.

Here’s a look at what’s ‘out there’ for today – Wednesday, September 18 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

NFL 100 Tailgate

Calling all 12s! Looking for an exciting Saturday story?

Come one, come all, to the Seahawks tailgate that will be set up at the Seattle Children’s Festival this Saturday in Seattle Center. Guests will get a chance to meet & greet with Seahawks Legends, mascot Boom, as well as participate in activities on the lawn including throwing and field goal tutorials.

The Seattle Seahawks will be taking part in the downtown festivities in celebration of the National Football League’s 100th season. As a festive and well-loved part of football culture, tailgating is a natural theme for this celebration. It brings together family, friends, food, and fun in support of your favorite team and community.

From a parade with Blue Thunder, Seahawks Dancers, and Blitz, to Seahawks partner giveaways, come join the fun in Seattle Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, September 21. For more information, including a full schedule of events, please visit the event’s Facebook page here.

“The Seattle Children’s Festival is produced by Northwest Folklife and Seattle Centers as part of the Our Big Neighborhood program that uses intergenerational, multicultural exchange to promote greater social understanding. All are invited to this intergenerational celebration of the dynamic arts, cultures, and traditions that thrive here in the greater Pacific Northwest community with five stages of lively performances, three “Discovery Zones” packed with hands-on activities, interactive dance workshops, multicultural arts and crafts, and more!”
