Wednesday Round-Up: NFL.com Grades Preseason Play Of Seahawks Rookie Rasheem Green

NFL.com's Bucky Brooks looks back at 2018's second week of preseason and evaluates the play of one rookie from each NFC team.

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today - Wednesday, August 22 - about your Seattle Seahawks:

Grading Green's Preseason Play

Following Week 1 of preseason, NFL.com's Bucky Brooks broke down the play of Seattle's Shaquem Griffin, giving the rookie linebacker an A-minus grade for his game-high nine tackles against the Indianapolis Colts. Now, in grading the play of notable NFC players from Week 2 of preseason, the former NFL scout Brooks turns his attention to Seattle's defensive line, evaluating the snaps he saw from defensive end Rasheem Green, who the Seahawks took in the third round of the 2018 draft out of USC. Here's what Brooks had to say:

The rookie pass rusher has been the Seahawks' most impressive player of the preseason. Against the Chargers, Green added another 1.5 sacks to his preseason total (3.0 in two games) and flashed disruptive skills as a run defender with a tackle for loss following an impressive disengagement at the point of attack. With the Seahawks desperately looking for a dominant player off the edge, Green's strong play could earn him a starting spot when the regular season rolls around. Grade: A+
