Good morning, 12s.
Here’s a look at what’s ‘out there’ for today – Tuesday, October 15 – about your Seattle Seahawks:
Carson For Ground Player Of The Week
Putting up 124 rushing yards in 24 rush attempts, one of which was a touchdown, Seahawks running back Chris Carson made his way on the list of nominees for the NFL’s Air & Ground Players of the Week. Carson has consistently been making an impact on offense each week, not only running the ball but in the receiving game as well.
The League has recognized both quarterbacks and running backs from the League for 17 years. They highlight the players who deliver the best performances for their respective fans and teammates each week. From Week 6, Carson is a nominee amongst Houston Texans RB Carlos Hyde and Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson.
“Each week, FedEx will donate $2,000 to the USO on behalf of the NFL award winners through FedEx Cares. The $4,000 donation will support the USO Pathfinder program, which provides resources and personalized services to assist service members and military spouses in their transition back to civilian life,” according to NFL.com.
“FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year winners—announced each year during the Super Bowl Week at NFL Honors—will receive a $20,000 donation in their name to the USO.”
Make your way over to NFL.com to vote for the third-year running back.
